Vitamin H is a water soluble vitamin. It is generally known as biotin. It is obtained from food as well as produced in the body by some intestinal bacteria. Biotin is very important for the production of energy especially from Carbohydrates, fats and the building blocks of protein.
The deficiency of Biotin is not very common in human, they may have some skin and hair problem, dryness and depression, but animal having such deficiency during pregnancy may give birth to their babies with birth defects.

Vegetarians may absorb much Biotin than those who prefer meat. Biotin is recommended mostly for the growth and strengthens of hair and nails, that’s why it is particularly used in cosmetics products for hair and nails.
