Manufacturing Procedure for Natural Source Vitamin C The manufacturing procedure for ascorbic acid (natural source vitamin C) involves a 15 step process. Vegetable starch is reduced to a simple sugar (D-glucose) which is then converted to pure ascorbic acid.
