Suggested Use for Echinacea Root |
 |
|
Take 30 to 40 drops, 2 to 5 times per day. In fevers, severe infections, or venomous bites and stings doses can be as large as 40 to 80 drops every 1 to 2 hours (depending upon severity). As fever or symptoms subside, dosage can be lowered in size and frequency. Topically apply full strength (if well tolerated), or dilute with 1 or 2 parts water.

Septicemia (blood poisoning). Lymphatic congestion. Boils and carbuncles. Eczema, psoriasis, hive and other skin problems. General "run-down" feeling. Arthritis. Venomous stings and bites. |

Some say echinacea is contraindicated in autoimmune diseases, and that long-continued doses cause therapeutic effects to diminish. However, there has been no scientific or clinical evidence of this, and traditional use of echinacea demonstrates otherwise.
