Lubriflex has three ingredients to work three ways for powerful and strong, deep-down joint comfort. Lubriflex works within one week to improve joint comfort and promote flexibility.
Lubriflex contains Uniflex, a new, proprietary, patent-pending antioxidant. Uniflex contains the bioflavonoids catechin, baicalein, wogonin and others in a synergistic ratio. Uniflex is a powerful antioxidant that helps protect and preserve cartilage and synovial (joint) fluid from the damaging attack of free radicals. What is Triple Action System?
1. Uniflex: Uniflex is a proprietary, patent-pending blend of extracts from two plants with long traditions of use – Chinese Scullcap (Scutellaria baicalensis) and Black Catechu (Acacia catechu). These two plants contain the potent bioflavonoid antioxidants catechin, baicalein, baicalin and wogonin. Bioflavonoids are phytonutrients found in almost all plants. The combined extract, Uniflex, exhibits protective and antioxidant activities greater than either extract alone. In a human clinical study, Uniflex showed significant benefits for joint health and mobility.
2. Joint Fluid (Hyaluronic Acid): Joint Fluid (Hyaluronic Acid) is the key lubricating component of synovial (joint) fluid found in your joints. Hyaluronic Acid is found throughout the body, but is concentrated in joints. Hyaluronic acid is made from Glucosamine building blocks converted into a very long, linear molecule that folds on itself to form a spherical shape in joint fluid. Hyaluronic Acid thus occupies large volumes, giving lubricating properties to joint fluid. This allows cartilage in joints to easily glide over each other, leading to smooth movements.
Hyaluronic Acid is more than just lubrication. Hyaluronic Acid also acts as a signaling message in joints, telling joint cells whether more Hyaluronic Acid needs to be produced. Hyaluronic Acid also forms the backbone of aggrecan, which is a key component of cartilage itself. Aggrecan is a proteoglycan, which is the scientific term for the molecules that contain Chondroitin Sulfates, giving cartilage its property of resiliency and ability to hold water. A recent study, presented at the prestigious Federation for the American Societies of Experimental Biology in April 2004, discovered that Hyaluronic Acid administered orally was absorbed into the bloodstream, and deposited into joints.

| While reviewing the ingredient(s) list I was surprised to find Areca catechu as an ingredient. The 5 Minute Herb and Dietary Supplement by Adriane Fugh-Berman is a mediacal type publication and on Page 28 it states..." Areca catechu (information on betel leaf)" Anecdotal reports have indicated that small doses generally lead to euphoria and increased flow of energy while large doses often result in sedation. Although all three ingredients may contribute to these effects, most experts attribute the psychoactive effects to the alkaloids found in betel nuts Betel nut is reportedly used by a substantial portion of the world's population as a recreational drug due to its CNS stimulant activity. There is little evidence of any benefits from controlled studies to support clinical use of betel, but the constituents have demonstrated pharmacological actions. The main active component, the alkaloid arecoline, has potent cholinergic activity. Constituents of areca are potentially carcinogenic. Long-term use has been associated with oral submucous fibrosis (OSF), pre-cancerous oral lesions and squamous cell carcinoma. Acute effects of betel chewing include asthma exacerbation, hypotension, and tachycardia. |
