Vanadium is stored in the bones, blood and organ tissues. An average human body contains up to 20 mg of this trace mineral. Vanadium affects normal growth, bone formation, fertility, reproduction, cholesterol metabolism, iodine metabolism, thyroid function, hormone production and cellular metabolism. Its effects are, however, minimal in humans.
